More frustration as India-NZ game is delayed

Cricket supporters endured more frustration today, when the start of the India and New Zealand game was delayed because of rain and a wet outfield.

Both teams are hoping to extend their 100% winning record in the competition, but a mixed forecast means play may not be possible.

An abandonment would be the fourth in this World Cup.The previous highest number of abandoned games in a World Cup was two, in 1992 and 2003.

Today’s encounter will decide the points table supremacy of the on-going ICC World Cup 2019.>New Zealand having won three out of three stand at the top of the points table.

Australia, England and India are close behind in second, third and fourth spot respectively. Shakib Al Hasan with 260 runs in three matches leads the run scorer’s list.
