27 complaints so far against Bathiudeen, Salley & Hizbullah

A total of 27 complaints have been lodged at the Special Police Unit against Parliamentarian Rishad Bathiudeen, Former Governor of the Western Province Azath Salley and Former Governor of the Eastern Province MLAM Hizbullah.

The Police Media Unit said as of 4pm yesterday 27 complaints had been lodged. The time frame granted to file complaints against the trio concluded yesterday.

Police Media Spokesman SP Ruwan Gunasekara said the complaints will be forwarded to the Criminal Investigations Department for deliberation.

The committee comprising of a Senior Superintendent of Police and two other SPs was appointed on the 4th of June to accept complaints against the trio over the Easter Sunday Attacks.
