Darbar: Hollywood actor Bill Duke requests AR Murugadoss to cast him in Rajinikanth film

After the mammoth success of Petta, Superstar Rajinikanth is busy shooting for his forthcoming film, Darbar. Directed by AR Murugadoss, this commercial entertainer will see Thalaivar donning the khaki yet again after two decades. The film also has Nayanthara, Suniel Shetty, Prateik Babbar, Nivetha Thomas and Yogi Babu in the lead roles.

Recently, Hollywood actor and filmmaker Bill Duke has been active in tweeting about South films. Recently, he has managed to find out about Rajinikanth's Darbar and expressed his interest to act alongside Superstar. He also put up a fun tweet that he could be Rajini's long lost American cousin or Nayanthara's uncle in the film.

Bill Duke's tweet read, "@ARMurugadoss I do not speak #Tamil...but I could be @rajinikanth "long lost American Cousin" or #Nayanthara "Uncle" you know they say I can act!!! @sreekar_prasad & @santoshsivan can edit me in!!! @anirudhofficial can compose a #HitSong with stars from all over, what you think? (sic)"

AR Murugadoss was clearly stumped by seeing a tweet from the legendary Hollywood actor Bill Duke. In his reply to Bill's post, he wrote, "Sirrrrrr..? It's really you.? (sic)"

The makers of Darbar are currently shooting a song and fight sequence. It is rumoured that this song and fight scene will be one of the USPs of the film. Murugadoss took to Twitter to share a photo of stunt choreographer Ram and dance master Shobi at work.

The Sarkar filmmaker revealed that they will wrap up Darbar's principal shoot by the end of August. Lyca Productions, who is bankrolling the project, stated that the film will hit the theatres on Pongal 2020.
