Bigg Boss 3 kicks off; ‘Politician’ Kamal Haasan takes centre stage
Finally the Bigg Boss Tamil 3 kicked off Sunday. 15 contestants entered the house. And actor Kamal Haasan brought out the politician in him hosting the show throwing political punches at appropriate places in the first show.
The Makkal Needhi Maiam founder took a jibe at water scarcity, poor civic condition in the State besides expressing his disappointment at the rulers.
And the show was filled with surprises. The 15 contestants drawn from various walks of lives saw a couple from Sri Lanka and singer from Malaysia entering the house.
Veteran news reader and anchor Fathima Babu, Sri Lankan news presented Losliya, actresses Sakshi Agarwal, Madhumitha, small screen actor Kavin, popular model Abhirami, Paruthuiveeran fame Saravanan, veteran actor Vijayakumar’s daughter Vanitha, actor-filmmaker Cheran, Thulluvadho Ilamai fame Sherin, musician Mohan Vaidya, model Tharshan, choreographer Sandy, Malaysian singer Mugen Rao and air-hostess-turned-anchor Reshma.
Kamal Haasan welcomed all participants and let them inside the house one after another.
With Tamilnadu reeling under water crisis, its conservation is the theme of the house. The swimming pool has been kept dry while mirrors bear bathroom are designed in the form of metro tanker with iron valves instead of traditional taps – An idea to save water. Also drinking water level indicator is provided inside the house to ensure inmates don’t waste much.
This season is launched with the tagline, ‘Ithu verum show alla namma life’ (This is not just a show, it’s our life). It suggests that every contestant and their nature is nothing but a reflection of our own self. The Bigg Boss house is erected in EVP film city, Chennai. The show will be aired at 8 pm Saturdays and Sundays and on weekdays at 9.30 pm in Vijay TV.
