Commander of the Sri Lanka Army Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake says although security has been heightened following the Easter Sunday Attacks in Sri Lanka, there are possibilities of lone wolf attacks.
Testifying before the Parliamentary Select Committee probing the Easter Sunday attacks, Army Commander Mahesh Senanayake said the military presence has a notable increase while acknowledged that intelligence units have also been strengthened in the recent months.
The Army Commander testified before the Parliamentary Select Committee probing the Easter Sunday attacks this afternoon.
Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake appeared before the Committee at around 2.15pm.Meanwhile, Leader of the All Ceylon Makkal Congress Parliamentarian Rishad Bathiudeen is also due to appear before the Parliamentary Select Committee probing the Easter Sunday attacks today.
The two were issued summons to appear before the Committee yesterday.
