Minister Balakrishnarredi was jailed for three years; Court action!

A special court is working to investigate criminal cases against legislators and MPs in Chennai.Recently, a former DMK MLA from Perambalur MLA Rajkumar was jailed for 10 years in a sexual case.In the same court, the case against Balakrishna Reddy, who is the Minister of Youth Affairs and Welfare of Tamil Nadu, has been held.In 1998, people fought against illicit liquor in Hosur.During the fight, stones were thrown on buses. The police vehicle was burned with fire. A total of 108 cases were filed.The court declared that 16 persons were convicted in the case including Balakrishna Reddy. Following this, the Chennai court has ruled out  today .Balakrishna Reddy  was sentenced to three years imprisonment  In addition, a fine of Rs 10,500 has also been imposed.

According to the Representation Act, if a electedrepresentative is held for more than two years, he or she will lose the statusof a representative of the People's Representative.

In this aspect, Balakrishnarredi has lost his position asMLA.
