Kohli, Dhoni smash half-centuries to power India to 268-7 against West Indies
Captain Virat Kohli and wicketkeeper MS Dhoni smashed half-centuries while opener KL Rahul made 48 as India made 268 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 50 overs against West Indies in their ICC World Cup match here on Thursday.
Dhoni made 56 runs off 61 balls and hit two sixes in the final over to finish off the innings in style.
Virat Kohli, who became the fastest to score 20,000 international runs, made 72 runs off 82 balls before being dismissed by Jason Holder.
Hardik Pandya added a quick-fire 46 runs off only 38 balls before being dismissed by Sheldon Cottrell.
India made a cautious start losing the wicket of opener Rohit Sharma when the team’s total was 29 before KL Rahul and captain Virat Kolhi stitched a partnership of 69 runs.
