Oviya is promoted from a school student to a ‘ladies gang leader’ in ‘Kalavani 2’!

Continued with the success of ‘Kalavani’, Director Sarkunam has involved Vimal and Oviya for the second part such that the film has been getting ready to release for a while. Along with the lead actors who played prominent roles in the first part, ‘Kalavani 2’ seems to have RJ Vigneshkanth, Saranya Ponvannan, Ilavarasu and Ganja Karuppu in the supportive roles with the bankrolling of ‘Varmans Productions’. Scheduled to have the release on July 12th, the team had a brief meeting with the press reporters today.

When Oviya has given the speech, she had stated that “In my first film i.e., ‘Kalavani’ I was named as ‘Oviya’ by Sarkunam sir only. I am glad to meet all the faces again in the second part. In ‘Kalavani 2’, compared to the chemistry I have with Vimal, the chemistry between Saranya mam and Ilavarasu sir is amazing. Vimal is not here but I am so much thankful to him. He is the one who taught me Tamil. Everybody will ‘Kalavani 2’ more than ‘Kalavani’ because there is a great comedy, romance and family sentiments with emotions in the film.”

When Director Sarkunam has spoken, he had stated that “Everybody would have watched ‘Kalavani’ and enjoyed it well. With the same confidence, please come to the theatre and watch ‘Kalavani 2’. We are sure that you will enjoy ‘Kalavani 2’ compared to ‘Kalavani’. Vimal is not here because he is busy with a shooting in Cochin, Kerala. This is his 25th film. What I wanted to appreciate about Vimal is that he had just taken the character with the same form of characterization even after 9 years of ‘Kalavani’. In the same way, Oviya has also acted well. Oviya had played the role of a school girl in the first part but she has played the role of a leader of a ladies group. The film will start only by stating that it is not the continuation of the first part. I thank everyone who had helped me for making ‘Kalavani 2’. I have confidence that the audience and press reporters will support me for ‘Kalavani 2’.”
