Acting IGP ordered to arrest 8 over Avant Garde case

The Attorney General Dappula De Livera has informed the Acting Inspector General of Police Chandana Wickramaratne to arrest eight suspects in the Avant Garde case including Former Chairman Nissanka Senadhipathi.
The eight are charged with incurring financial losses to the government.
The government incurred a loss of Rs.11.4 million by allowing the Avant Garde Maritime Services Private Limited to maintain a floating armoury during the previous government’s tenure.
