Presidential candidate will be a UNP member

Chairman of the United National Party Minister Kabir Hashim says the candidate that will be fielded by the United National Party for the upcoming Presidential Election will be a member of the party with utmost certainty.

Speaking to media Minister Hashim said the candidate will be named with consideration for public opinion.

The Minister noted regardless of various opinions the party will arrive at an official decision following discussions based on the opinion of the public.

Minister Hashim stressed opponents fear the UNP and have already accepted defeat while worrying over the candidate that will be fielded by the UNP.
