Canadian Prime Minister rejects Maithri's invitation

Reports say the Canadian government has rejected the invitation of President Maithripala Sirisena to Canadian premier to visit Sri Lanka.

The Canadian government did not accept President Maithripala Sirisena's invitation and did not want to call on Maithripala Sirisena to visit  their country too.

It is being said that this is attributed to President Maithripala Sirisena's eagerness to implement the death penalty and his inexperience in diplomacy.

There are many reasons for this, including the fact that the EU has put pressure on it.

According to reports, the president has invited the Canadian head of state to visit Sri Lanka on his wish to visit Canada.
