Karnataka crisis Live: 2 more Congress MLAs resign, total 16 MLAs quit

Two more Congress MLAs have resigned on Wednesday evening, taking the total number of resignations to 16.

Meanwhile, Karnataka political crisis has moved from the political alleys of Bengaluru and Mumbai to reach Delhi. The rebel MLAs are likely to move SC against Speaker Ramesh Kumar. The matter may come up on Thursday.

This comes after the rebel MLAs refused to meet Congress leader DK Shivakumar, who had flown from Bengaluru early on Wednesday morning. The MLAs remained inside the Mumbai hotel while Shivakumar was barred entry by Mumbai Police. The police denied entry to Shivakumar on the basis of allegations of threat to life made by the rebel MLAs in a late night letter.

Despite the cold shoulder, DK Shivakumar continues to express hope of parleys and has said that he will take the MLAs back with him.
