Rs 9.55 lakh goes missing from mobile ATM in TN

: In a shocking incident, Rs 9.55 lakh was found missing from a mobile ATM belonging to Erode District Central Cooperative Bank Ltd yesterday.

According to a media report, three employees had deposited Rs 10 lakh in the machine and had parked the van at the central bus stand. The employees noticed smoke coming out of the machine when a person withdrew Rs 45,000 from the ATM. After this, the employees doused the flames coming out of the battery and then took the van to the banks head office. It was then that they noticed that the money was missing. Based on a complaint lodged by the bank, police are carrying out investigation.
