Partial lunar eclipse to be visible after midnight

Sri Lanka will witness a partial lunar eclipse just past midnight today.The lunar eclipse will also be visible to people in the Australian, African, North American, European and Asian continents.
Director of the Astronomy and Space Science Unit of the Colombo University Professor Chandana Jayaratne said this is the last lunar eclipse that will be seen this year, while the next eclipse will only come around on the 26 of May in 2021.
The partial lunar eclipse is due to begin just after midnight at 12.13 am.
