Ajith fans from Viswasam fame Koduvilarpatti arrested for murder threats

As Viswasam is gearing up for the release on January 10, fans of Ajith Kumar have already started their celebrations by installing huge cutouts and posters of Thookudurai, the character Ajith plays in the film.

One such poster has led to a scuffle between Ajith fans and a resident of a village in Theni district. Few fans have installed a poster in front of a house and it was damaged by some unknown person.

The enraged Ajith fans entered into a verbal altercation with the house owner Jayamani. Reportedly, the fans have used some obscene language and issues some threats to the resident.

Jayamani took the issue to the local police station and the police officials have now taken Balamurugan, Ajithkumar, Satheeswaran, Vijay, Selvakumar and 5 other members in custody. Cases have been booked under the aforementioned for issuing death threats and use of abusive language.

The incident happened in Koduvilarpatt, the village in which Viswasam is set in. Thookudurai of Viswasam is from the same village and in a scene from the trailer the star is scene mentioning it.

Directed by Siruthai Siva, Viswasam also has Nayanthara, Robo Shankar and Thambi Ramaiah in lead roles.
