Police raid illegal Cannabis plantation

An illegal Cannabis plantation was raided by the Athimale police recently.

The plantation was located within the boundaries of the Yala reserve in Athimale.

Police say that the Cannabis plants were nearly 07-ft tall and amounted to over Rs. 02 million. The entire plantation was later incinerated by the police.

Investigations are underway to arrest suspects from the plantation, who had fled during the raid.
