Case against Anura Senanayake over Thajudeen killing fixed for Oct 23

The Colombo High Court today (Jul 30) ordered that the case filed against former senior deputy inspector general Anura Senanayake in the case involving the killing of national ruggerite Wasim Thajudeen, would be taken up on October 23.
Senanayake had been released on bail after indictments were handed over to him by the Attorney General late last month. He has been accused of concealing evidence in the case pertaining to the killing of the ruggerite.
Charges have been filed against the accused under Section 198 of the Penal Code.
