Gr. 5 and A/L papers to be marked in 3 stages

The Department of Examinations says marking of answer scripts for this year’s Grade 5 Scholarship examination and GCE Advanced Level examination will be carried out in several stages.

Accordingly the first stage of paper marking for A/L exam papers will be conducted from the 28th of August to the 13th of September.

12 schools will be completely closed during this period, while 26 schools will be partially closed. 8466 teachers are due to work at 498 evaluation centres for the process.

The closed schools will open for the 3rd school Term on the 16th of September.Meanwhile the 2nd stage of answer script marking will begin on the 15 of September, and continue till the 1st of October, while the 3rd stage will be carried out, from the 24th of September to the 8th of October.

The Exams Department also stated that marking of GCE A/L Common General Test Papers will be conducted on the 7th and 8th of October.

Additionally paper marking for the Grade 5 scholarship Exam will be conducted from the 15th to the 20th of August, in 39 schools, involving 6976 teachers working under 436 evaluations centres.
