Suspect arrested over Rs.120mn bank theft

A Manageress who stole and absconded with Rs.120 million from a local bank in the Balangoda, Pinnawala area, has been arrested.

The suspect had fled with the money on the 25th of November last year.The suspect, a 48 year old resident of Balangoda was arrested last evening whilst at a residence in the area.

Police revealed that over 50 people had arrived at the Pinnawala Police to lodge complaints against the suspect last evening.
