Fr. Minister Mangla Samaraweera passed away!

Ex. Minister Mangala Samaraweera has passed away while being treated for COVID-19 at a private hospital.

The opposition politician had been hospitalized on 13th August after contracting the virus.

He was being treated at a private hospital and was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) where he was being treated until his demise.

Mangala Samaraweera who has previously served as Finance and Foreign Affairs Minister was 65 at the time of his death.
