Why these Covid 19 deaths so immense? Research revealed in postmortem study!

New research has revealed the key cause of Covid-related deaths in Sri Lanka.

Consultant Judicial Medical Officer at the IDH Dr. Channa Perera said the research has found that people with comorbidities are prone to developing Covid pneumonia.

He said that as per the findings, based on over 100 postmortems conducted thus far, 30% of the Covid-deaths have occurred due to complications caused by Covid pneumonia.
