China Development Bank's Regional Headquarters in Port city

Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa has stated the government will take necessary measures to establish the regional headquarters of China Development Bank at Port City.

He added that Sri Lanka was looking forward to China’s  assistance towards investment projects.

He aired these views during a special Zoom discussion yesterday (1) with Chairman of the National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee Li Zhanshu.

Zhansu replied that China will be providing assistance for investments, including Port City projects.

He further stated that as a close friend of Sri Lanka, China would give its utmost assistance towards the island’s economy and expressed hope that once the Covid-19 pandemic was over, the two countries would further strengthen its ties through visits of delegations.
