Prima flour price to be increased by 12/=
The price of Prima flour has been increased by Rs. 12, without the approval of the Consumer Affairs Authority.
Previously too, the price of wheat flour was increased without CAA approval.
A complaint has been lodged in this regard yesterday (2).
However, the Aruna newspaper reports that the All Ceylon Bakery Owners Association is stating that bakery goods prices will not be increased.
ACBOA chairman N.K. Jayawardene said that a 50 kg pack of wheat flour used for bakery products is over Rs. 5,000.
The Serendib company previously increased their price of wheat flour by Rs. 6, and the price of bakery goods increased too.
