The body of Corona death taken home to observe funeral final rites! Are North Health sources asleep?

Thepermission to take the body of Corona death to home and to hold final rites athome has raised a big issue and concerns of many social well-wishers. This has created a massive panic state in the area.

The above incident happened in Kilinochi- Uthaynagar.

A former Grama Niladari from Kilinochi Uthaynagar had infected with Covid -19 and was admitted in Kilinochi Hospital. There he died on 16th this month.

In this situation, Yesterday night it was announced through everywhere in Kilinochi through loud speaker in a van that his body would be observed with final religious rites the following day.

On hearing this, some well-wishers had taken this matter to relevant authorities pointing out that the oncoming health hazardous if this is permitted. But their effort was ignored and the body was brought home and with a large crowd of people at funeral house the body was observed its final religious rites.Then in a procession it was taken to burial ground.

Thereby people are in constant fear in Kilinochi area they would experience a cluster of infection soon.
