Smugglers’ hideout rounded up by security forces in Pooneryn-Veddukadu! One arrested.

A large amount of hoarded turmeric and cardamom were seized by the security forces in Pooneryn at Veddaikadu.

According to the information the security forces received have seized a large haul of turmeric and cardamom in Poonryn in palmyrah forest at Vettaikadu.

Duringthis raid 2015 kilos and 700 gram of turmeric and 36 kilos and 100 grams of cardamom were seized.

Only a person meant to be the smuggler was also arrested and interrogation has been proceeding on.
