Cash prize for tip offs on illegal firearms- IGP

Inspector General of Police Pujith Jayasundara has decided to grant a cash prize for Policemen and individuals who provide information on illegal firearms.

The programme is being conducted in line with the special raids being carried out to nab those with illegal firearms that are being worked off till the 31st of March.

Accordingly Policemen and the public providing information pertaining to suspects in possession of firearms or the locations to firearms will be awarded cash prizes ranging from Rs.3,000 to Rs.60,000.
