Catholic Church protest against Sinhalization in North and East! TNA’s poisonous silent?

Catholic Church stated that by resettling Sinhalese  in Tamils’ hereditary lands the regime under Rajapakses try to reduce Tamil peoples’ ethnicity in the country.

The Catholic Bishops represent North East parishes stated to the Ambassador of Switzerland, Mr. Dominic Bergler jointly that Sinhalese people were brought  directly to Trincomalee,Mannar and Mullaitivu districts and resettle them in the lands of Tamil people.

It is the first opportunity that Catholic Bishops jointly had discussion with a foreign representative about Government’s Sinhalization though earlier many Tamil non-governmental organizations and politicians continuously had warned the Government.

According to the media men, they say that in the meeting held in Jaffna Bishop House on Wednesday,the present situation of North and East , people’s life and regional development activities were specified in the discussion.

The bishops pointed out that as the government forcibly settle Sinhalese people in Tamils’ hereditary lands Tamils are in great agitation against the Government’s racist performance.

MeanwhileTNA’s parliamentary member Sritharan said in Yesterday session “ There are landless Tamils 14000 in Jaffna and 4000 in Kilinochi districts. The lands confiscated by the government are not still handed over to them. In this situation, the government bring Sinhalese people into Tamils lands to resettle them in Tamils lands; thereby government wants to wipe out Tamils and reduce Tamils ethnicity in the country.”
