A boat travelling with school children capsized! Many missing while 6 bodies found and rescued!! Search operation going on!!!

In Trincomalee-Kinniya Kurinjakerny area a boat travelling with school children accidentally capsized and many have gone missing while six bodies were found.

As Kurinjakerny bridge is being under renovation work people including students have to use water way to cross by boat. In this sense today public and school students in many number were travelling in the boat.

It is reported that this incident has happened today morning and altogether 20 were travelling in the boat including school children.

Out of the number it is said that 6 bodies have been recovered and search operation still going on.

All the shops in the area are closed to observe as a black day and the area seen panic stricken everywhere due to this calamity.
