New low depression would pass through between North East provinces! Heavy rainfall until Saturday!!- Senior Lecturer N. Pirathibarajah

Jaffna University Senior Lecturer N. Pirathibarajah has said that due to the low depression formed in south East Bay of Bengal there would be possibility for intense heavy rainfall in North East provinces until Saturday.

He said further that according to the present situation it is expected that the depression seem to travel between North and East provinces and pass through landside between Puttalam and Mannar to exit out into Arabic Ocean.

Its course of direction of its exact movement will be informed later on. He has also warned that as there would be a continuous rainfall it is important that the people living in low lands should be careful and fishermen should avoid going fishing until 27-11-2021.
