Oil resources in Jaffna Peninsula and adjacent Cauveri Basin ?

The ministry of Fuel and Energy has said that there are much possibilities to find out much commercial oil resources in Jaffna Peninsula and nearby Cauvery Basin.

In the situation in which oil resources are found in Mannar basin, and as the next stage it is said by the ministry that there are possibilities could be fould in Jaffna Peninsula and adjacent Cauvery basin too.

Regarding this matter the Petroleum Development Authority under the ministry has published this matter in their website.
