The Pillayar Statue in front of the Gemunu Vihare in Kankesanthurai missing!

It has been reported to the police that the Pillaiyar Statue in Kumara Kovil in front of  Police and Military personnel’s continuous surveillance  in Kankesanthurai has been missing since 9th of this month.

The security forces had aggresed the the Kumaras Kovil premises and had built a Vihare namely Gemunu Vihare. During the area was under High Security Zone the aggression of the temple and erection of Vihare had been taken place.

After it was released from H.S.Z there has been continuous poojas and people have held festivities in the temple. In this situation only, now the statue of Pillayar has made missing.
