Who to renovate Pointpedro harbor? Is it China or India ? A tug of war between two superpowers..?

There has been a competitive atmosphere raised between India and China over the issue who is going to renovate J/ PointPedro fishing harbor.

During the past government of Good Governance, a foundation stone was laid to renovate this harbor with aid of Asian Development Bank and Srilankan government’s joint financial assistance.

A harbor equivalent to Colombo harbor in PointPedro was planned and for this a map also was drawn out to carry out the project.

Now in the situation in which this project is to be started, India and China have expressed their willful interests in participation in this through the ministry of Fishing industries.

Besides all this, in this stance it is believed that recently the Chinese ambassador had visited this area and made a survey for this purpose only.
