No more power cuts! : Govt. decides to pay oil tankers

Power and Energy Minister Gamini Lokuge says that there will be no power cuts in the future.

He was speaking after a discussion with the President this afternoon (24).

Meanwhile, Minister of Energy - Udaya Gammanpila has also said after the meeting that the government had decided to make a USD payment to two oil tankers at the Colombo Port.

Minister Gammanpila had added that the President has instructed the Treasury to release funds to repay the Rs. 93 billion debt owed by the Ceylon Electricity Board to the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation.
