Health unions prepare for another protest?
It is reported that the health sector unions have decided to go on a continuous island wide strike if no proposal is made regarding the method of increasing the salaries of the health sector employees at the upcoming cabinet meeting.
The unions say the decision to end the strike was prompted by expectations that the president would intervene and the assurance given by the health minister that he would present a proposal to the cabinet at its next meeting.
But if that does not happen, the union leaders say, the trade union struggle will commence the very next day after the cabinet meeting.
