Three arrested over fatal attack on minister’s driver

Three suspects have been arrested over the fatal attack last night (21) on a driver of minister Gamini Lokuge in Kesbewa, according to the area’s police.

One of them was taken into custody at the Kalubowila Hospital, to where he had got admitted.

A group armed with a club and a sword attacked the 41-year-old at his home at Mawittara.

The incident occurred after he had advised a speeding, reckless young motorcyclist to ride slowly on the road.

The critically-injured man died at Piliyandala district hospital.
