Diesel shortage about to end! Power cuts will also end!

Under the Indian credit line, several shipments of diesel are arriving in the country, it is reported.

One of the ships is already nearing the Colombo harbour while another five fuel shipments are scheduled to reach the island within the next few days.

Accordingly, the acute diesel shortage is expected to subside, while the majority of the fuel stocks will be given for power generation, it is reported.

Under this situation, the six hour power cuts are expected to be reduced to one hour, while measures are also being reportedly taken to ensure uninterrupted power supply during the New Year season.
