Note from Mahela on deputy speaker post

Former Sri Lanka cricket captain Mahela Jayawardene has taken to Twitter to express his dissatisfaction over the post of Deputy Speaker.

He has emphasized that the resignation of a Deputy Speaker twice in the face of the current crisis in the country is a waste of the country's money and time.

"This is not a joke and everyone in parliament should resign and go home," he said in his Twitter message.
