Pro-MR SLPPers to rally in Colombo tomorrow for corruptible rule and to protect them from People's fury!
Reports say that local government members of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) have been summoned to Colombo tomorrow (08).
It is said that they are summoned to state the party position with regard to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa's request made to PM Mahinda Rajapaksa, asking the latter to resign.
Speaking to media, SLPP General Secretary Sagara Kariyawasam has said that a discussion is to be initiated immediately, to decide on the party's future course of action.
However, he had declined to reveal further details.
Speaking during a special Cabinet meeting last week, PM Mahinda Rajapaksa has stated that he is willing to resign if there is a proper mechanism to govern the country after his resignation.
Meanwhile, a group of SLPP supporters backing the Prime minister is to hold a demonstration in front of Temple Trees tomorrow, under the theme 'Let's protect PM Mahinda'.
