Actors protest calls for Ranjan to be released

A protest was organized today, in front of the Welikada Prison calling for the release of Ranjan Ramanayake.

Actors and other artists as well as the public attended the protest.

The group demanded that Ramanayake be released tomorrow on Vesak Poya, since he is a prey of political victimization.

An averaged one thousand people attended today’s protest.
