Police officer develops App to track vehicles refueling from multiple stations
A mobile application developed by the Police Constable is being used to by Sri Lanka Police to track vehicles that join multiple fuel queues.
According to Police Spokesperson SSP Nihal Thalduwa (Attorney-at-Law) the mobile application FUEL IMC was developed by Police Constable K. G. M. Ranathunga.
1,078 filling station located across the country are added to the FUEL IMC app, and according to the date 36,638 vehicles had pumped fuel on Friday (27).
The data also revealed that 1,347 vehicles visited multiple filling stations throughout Friday (27) to pump fuel.
In addition, Sri Lanka Police also managed to arrest 382 people who were selling fuel for higher prices.
