Protest movement touts President as 'Indo-US puppet'

The 'Sarva Pakshika Aragalakaruwo' which represents the present anti government protests in the country, has alleged that President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has become a mere puppet of India.

They say that the President - the failed ruler who made the homeland fall into anarchy and bankrupted the economy, is currently holed himself up in a bunker with no mandate, advocating for Indo-US political interests.

They add that the CEB chairman's recent statement before the COPE committee proves this point.

While thanking India for the aid and support economy-wise, the collective says that regardless, the Indian PM Modi has no right to challenge the constitutional and international statutes of governing and decision-making in Sri Lanka which is a sovereign, independent state.

If the CEB chairman's statement is false, measures should be taken against him for misleading the COPE committee, they add.

The collective firmly states that the 'Indo-US puppet' of a President should firmly remember that the resources of the country are not private properties of the Rajapaksas but a heritage of the public and of the future generation.
