Sri Lankan Minister forced to flee after angry mob protest against his visit
Sri Lankan Minister Mahinda Amaraweera was forced to flee after a group of angry farmers protested against his visit to Tissamaharama.
The Minister was jeered off the premises when he was leaving after a program.
Minister Mahinda Amaraweera visited the Tissamaharama Divisional Secretariat on Saturday (18) morning to attend an agriculture-related program.
However, following his arrival, a group of angry locals gathered opposite the local government body and staged a protest against the Minister.
When the Minister attempted to inquire into the protest, chaos broke out forcing the Minister to flee the area.
