Gota Go Gama (GGG) activist Amal Salinda arrested

Amal Salinda - a prominent activist from Gota Go Gama (GGG) in Galle Face has been arrested by the Police last evening (20).

No warrant has been produced and it is unknown which police station has arrested him.

Salinda was arrested after attending a protest march staged by the Inter University Students’ Federation and he had also attended a protest near the gates of the Finance Ministry.

Activists from GGG are to complain in this regard to the GGG, reports say.
Social activists are worried whether Salinda is the latest victim of the current regime which has a long, dark history of suppressing dissents including journalists and civil activists and making them disappear.
