Wimal responds to Mahinda’s statement!

Minister Mahinda Amaraweera said in Parliament that no proposal was ever made to appoint Ranil Wickremesinghe as the Prime Minister.

He was responding to a statement made by former Minister Wimal Weerawansa that those who had accepted government portfolios from the SLFP had proposed to the President to appoint Ranil Wickremesinghe as the Prime Minister.

Weerawansa said that it was stated by President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa. He said that if Mahinda Amaraweera rejects these claims, then it is the President who is making false statements.
