MS Dhoni spotted at nets after missing out third ODI vs New Zealand

MS Dhoni had missed out on the third one-day international (ODI) against New Zealand with a sore hamstring but he was back at the nets as India prepared to take on the Kiwis for the fourth ODI in Hamilton. Dhoni is a vital part of India's World Cup plans and the team management would like to give as many games as possible to the former captain.

After struggling with the bat for the entirety of 2018, Dhoni found form in Australia as he smashed three half centuries in the ODI series vs Australia and guided India to a historic win.

Dhoni has carried forward that form to New Zealand having scored 48 not out in the 2nd ODI before missing the third due to injury. Not only with the bat, Dhoni holds immense importance for the Indian team with his flash-like wicketkeeping and overall experience.

If Dhoni is fit and fine ahead of the 4th ODI on Thursday, he is likely to feature in the playing XI, which will be captained by Rohit Sharma after Virat Kohli has been rested for the rest of the tour.

Having sealed the series 3-0, India are expected to make a couple of changes to the team and give chances to the players on the bench to make a case for themselves.

Khaleel Ahmed, Mohammed Siraj and Vijay Shankar were also seen honing their skills in the nets and they will be hoping they get a chances in the coming two ODIs..
