Protest near PM's house demanding him to quit

A protest held this evening in front of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe's Fifth Lane residence, demanding him to resign immediately if he cannot solve the country's crisis.

The protesters gathered in front of the Prime Minister's residence at around 7.30 pm and engaged in  demonstration, displaying banners for about 1½ hours.

It was reported that special security was arranged by the police anti-riot division using roadblocks to prevent  protestors from advancing towards the PM's private residence.
