GR talks to Putin; requests credit support for fuel

President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has had a telephone conversation with his Russian President counterpart - Vladimir Putin this afternoon (06).

Thanking the Russian President for all the support extended by his government to overcome challenges in the past, President Rajapaksa had Tweeted, saying he also requested an offer of credit support to import fuel to Sri Lanka as a means to address the current economic challenges.

He has further made a humble request to restart Aeroflot operations in Sri Lanka.
