Yapa not to contest for presidency!

Kurunegala District Parliamentarian Anura Priyadarshana Yapa, who is independent from the Podujana Peramuna (SLPP), says that he and his team will decide the position he and his team will take in the election of the new president today (18) or tomorrow (19).

Speaking to the media, he has said that at a time when the country is facing a serious crisis, fighting each other for the presidential candidacy is not acceptable.

He said that at this moment it is important for everyone to unite.

He has stated that he has no intention of running for presidency and claims that the position he will take in the election will be decided according to the nominations presented.
