It is reported that the police are looking to arrest social media activist - Pathum Kerner in connection with the recent clash near the Parliament complex.

Police say that Kerner, who is a leading figure of the Galle Face 'Aragalaya', has gone missing. However, his Facebook account has been active in the last 12 hours.

Meanwhile, it is reported that the police have identified about seventy suspects in connection with the theft of antique items to the Presidential Palace, Temple Trees and the Prime Minister's Office as well as in connection with the burning of Acting President - Ranil Wickramasinghe's private residence.
 
It is said that the police have confirmed that among those who have been identified, most of the people who incited people by showing live footage on social media are those who are connected to political parties.

Meanwhile, it is reported that an investigation has been initiated by the Ministry of Defence regarding three social media activists who are playing a key role at the Galle Face 'Aragalaya', who had withdrawn Rs. 45 million from their bank accounts.

These three persons had recently opened three new bank accounts at the Bank of Ceylon Union Place branch.On July 15, each of them had received Rs. 15 million each to their three accounts from a foreign depositor.

Shortly after the money was deposited, the trio had arrived at the bank in a white Prius car and had withdrawn the entire amount.

When the bank officials had questioned them regarding the source of the money, they had threatened the bank officials, reports say.They had threatened to surround the bank if the bank had obstructed them.
