Over 100mn damages to stairway at Presidential House! Is it a penalty for peoples cry in agony?

Archaeology officials (government's pet dogs) have predicted that it will cost over Rs. 100 million to restore the iconic double stairway at the President's House in Fort, Colombo.

The dutch era mansion had undergone many damages since protestors stormed the property earlier this month. Afterwards, scores of crowds had visited the premises each day until the property was handed back to officials.

The stairway is to be restored under the supervision of archaeological officials.

Three beams of the upper storey are said to have sustained significant structural damages, and officials say that damages done to the property cannot be calculated.
